Is The Inn pet-friendly?Yes. The Inn Beechworth offers pet-friendly accommodation so guests can bring their dogs when visiting Beechworth. Kelly House and Pickett’s Cottage is suitable for larger dogs. Ned’s is only suitable for very small dogs.
Are we close to the main street & historic district of Beechworth?Yes. The Inn is centrally located in the main area of Beechworth. Both the main street and the historic district are less than a 5-minute walk from The Inn.
Where to stay for a romantic weekend in Beechworth?The Inn offers three different types of accommodation, but Pickett’s Cottage is most suitable for a romantic weekend away. With its claw-foot bath and romantic style, it’s perfect for a long weekend with your loved one.
Are we close to the rail trail in Beechworth?Yes. The Inn Beechworth, is located less than 500m from the rail trail. The great part of exploring on a bike from Beechworth is that it’s downhill in both directions. Head left for about 30km to Yackandandah for some whiskey and lunch, or head right to Everton or Tarrawingee for a counter lunch at the pub. If you want to explore more, keep heading to Milawa for some of the country’s finest wines.
Is the Inn family-friendly?Yes, Kelly House is perfect for families, young or old. Each bedroom has its own ensuite, there are two living areas, and a large outdoor area, so there is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space.
Do we have cooking facilities?Yes, both Kelly House and Pickett’s have a full kitchen. Ned’s has basic cooking facilities, including a microwave and an induction cooktop. Kelly House also has a BBQ on the outside deck.
Can you get to Beechworth by public transport?Yes. Beechworth is easily accessible from Melbourne via the VLine train and bus system. It’s approximately 3.5 hours via public transport from Melbourne to Beechworth. Take a train from Southern Cross Station to Wangaratta. Then board a bus to Beechworth.
It’s approximately a 5 minutes walk from the bus stop to The Inn, Beechworth.
Is the off-street parking at The Inn, Beechworth?Yes. Pickett’s Cottage and Kelly House have off-street parking. Pickett’s cottage as undercover parking for one car. Kelly House has a parking space for two cars.
Ned’s does not have off-street parking. But parking is easily accessible for free on the street or opposite in the council carpark.

How far is Beechworth from Melbourne, Sydney & Albury?Beechworth is an easy 20 minutes drive from the Hume Highway.

What is the best time of year to visit Beechworth?Honestly, there's no bad time. Beechworth does every season well.
Summer - Wild swim at Lake Sambell or Wool Shed Falls. Pick berries at Stanley or ride the Rail Trail.
